St Michael’s is a community school in a small village offering each child high quality learning opportunities.  Our strength is our size, we know each child as an individual, ensuring teaching and learning meets the needs and interests of each pupil.

Our mission statement is 'learning and growing together'.  As well as high quality teaching, we offer a broader curriculum related to the local countryside. We grow herbs by the school entrance for use in cookery lessons, We have a well tended school garden and  we sell produce after school on Fridays to the community during the growing season.

Our School Values in term 2 2016

Each term we focus on a different value in school. Our Value for Term 2 is resillience

The image we use to hep us think about this value is a cat.

Cats are curious, they like to find things out, to get to the bottom of things and learn what is really going on. They like to ask the question WHY?

At St Micahel's we believe we are unique, independent and we do not give up easily when things get tricky.

We are true to ourselves.

We link this value to the British value of individual liberty.
